Mines (Spribe) Review
Verdict
Mines is the Minesweeper-derived casino format: a grid hides bombs, you reveal tiles and collect your multiplier whenever you want, and hitting a bomb ends the round with a loss. Spribe's version arrived in 2020 and runs at 97% RTP. It is clean, provably fair, and available across most major crypto rooms. The limitation is the $5,000 max win cap, which is notably less generous than BGaming's 24,750x multiplier ceiling. For lower-stakes players the cap is invisible; for anyone betting $10+ per round and hunting for a long run of safe tiles, the ceiling interrupts the tension before it should. Solid game, just not the right choice if you want maximum upside in the mines format.
The Math
Spribe certifies 97% RTP for Mines. House edge is 3%. The game uses a configurable mines count from 1 to 24 on a 5x5 grid. More mines raises the per-tile multiplier but increases the probability of a bust -- the base RTP remains 97% regardless of your mine count setting. Max win is $5,000 as a hard dollar cap. Provably fair verification is available through Spribe's standard hash checker. Expected loss at $10 per round over 1,000 rounds is $300, the same as their crash and plinko titles.
How It Plays
The interface shows a 5x5 grid of covered tiles. You set the number of mines (1 to 24) before the round starts, then click or tap tiles to reveal them. Each safe reveal increases the current multiplier and shows a gem; a mine ends the round. A "Cash Out" button locks in your current multiplier at any point before you hit a mine. The multiplier display updates in real time as each safe tile is revealed. Higher mine counts mean each safe tile pays more per click -- 24 mines on a 5x5 grid leaves only 1 safe tile, for a massive per-tile payout that requires exactly one correct click. The tension of deciding when to cash out is the entire game.
Where to Play It
Spribe Mines is available at Stake, Shuffle, Roobet, Rainbet, Razed, Duel, Gamdom, 1xBet, Melbet, and Megapari. Distribution is wide across both Tier 1 and Tier 2 rooms.
vs Our 100% RTP Demo
Spribe Mines at 97% costs $30 per $1,000 wagered. Our free mines demo returns 100% RTP so you can explore different mine counts and practice your cash-out discipline without the edge. The grid tension feels identical -- the only thing missing is the financial consequence.
